Thoughtful support for individuals and families navigating adult children, family conflict, changing roles, and the unexpected turns of midlife and beyond.

You don't have to have all the answers. You don't have to give up on the people you love. And you don't have to lose yourself trying to hold everything together.

There is a way forward
You might be thinking

Is this you?

If any of these sound familiar, you are in the right place.

  • "I don't know what happened to our family."
  • "I'm afraid that anything I say will make things worse."
  • "I've spent so much of my life being a mother. Who am I in this next chapter?"
  • "I keep wondering what I did wrong, and what I can still do differently."
  • "I want to have hope, but I'm scared this is just how things are going to be."
  • "Nobody prepared me for this part."

The way forward

What is possible

  1. i.

You can understand what happened without making yourself, or someone you love, the villain.

  2. ii.

You can learn new ways of relating, even when the people around you don't change.

  3. iii.

You can become steadier in conflict without becoming harder or more distant.

  4. iv.

You can make room for grief without letting it consume the life that is still yours to live.

Relationships can change. Families can repair. And hope can coexist with uncertainty.

Meet Rachel

Hi, I'm Rachel.

I'm a marriage and family therapist, wife, mother, writer, and educator who helps individuals and families navigate the complicated, beautiful, and sometimes heartbreaking work of family life.

My work is grounded in a simple belief: relationships matter, people can grow, and our hardest chapters don't have to be the end of the story.

I bring a systemic, developmental lens to family conflict, adult children, changing roles, and the long arc of family life, helping people understand what's happening, take responsibility for what is theirs, and move forward with greater clarity, steadiness, and hope.
